JAKARTA || LINGKARAKTUAL.COM || – President Prabowo Subianto conferred special ranks on one retired TNI and Polri officer each, Wednesday (17/09/2025) in the Credentials Room, Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
Based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 84/TNI of 2025 and No. 85/POLRI of 2025 concerning the Special Conferment of Ranks, President Prabowo conferred the rank of Honorary TNI General on Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago and the rank of Honorary Police General on Commissioner General of Police (Ret.) Ahmad Dofiri.
The award ceremony began with the reading of the Presidential Decree by the President’s Military Secretary, Major General Kosasih. The Head of State then personally performed the ceremony of stripping the former officers of their ranks and conferring the new ranks on the two award recipients.
In his remarks, President Prabowo emphasized that the decision to bestow honorary ranks on the two was a form of appreciation for their service to the nation and state. The Head of State also viewed their dedication and sacrifice as demonstrating exemplary loyalty.
